“When Gareth spotted Mitzi on the train platform in London he never suspected that she’d be the one to make the first move. When she smiled and handed him her business card, he never guessed that she’d later steal his heart. And when she stepped off the train, never knowing if they’d meet again, he never imagined that eight years later they’d be meeting at the end of the aisle.”
Perth boy Gareth married Jersey girl Mitzi at Athol Hall in late November. The sun was shining in Sydney as the team from Event Angels and Romeo’s Chair set the scene for the bridal procession in Ashton Park. Meanwhile, a pre-wedding photography session in Angel Place found Mitzi and Gareth being serenaded by an impromptu ukulele duo before they headed to Mosman for a spiritual ceremony performed by Vanessa Williams-Henke.
Under dramatic afternoon clouds, the bride emerged from the historic Athol Hall wearing an antique-toned Chantilly lace gown by Paloma Blanca with custom features by Effie Bridal Tailoring of Mosman and a head piece by etsy crafter, HeartFelt by Aviva. The groom was styled by Jack London.
Local Sydney singer-songwriter Mark Wilkinson played the couple down the aisle, the girls carrying bouquets made up of fresh succulents and blush roses created by Seed Flora of Ultimo. Matching centre pieces and home-made table settings were handcrafted with love by the bride and bridesmaids.
Hair for the bridal party was styled by Rachel Smith of Tonik Salon in Surry Hills; make-up by Susan Markovic of Make-up Mode.”
